I just moved to Irvine from Switzerland and a colleague of mine introduced me to Chris.

He has been outstanding! Deep knowledge of the area and of all the laws and rules to buy an house. Once I mentioned to him that I was new to this process in the US he spent incredible amount of time to  explain me first the process and all the steps. Then he started giving me recommendations on the best neighborhood and about pro and cons of each of them. Finally once I was ready he spent considerable time showing me houses and giving me tips and guidance during the process being available and prompt to reply to any question by email, phone and by person. Defineltly impressive, I will recommend him to all the people that will look for an house.

We spoke to Chris Merritt, who we knew had sold almost 300 homes just in our West Irvine community, and his business partner D.R.Heywood. In addition to having great negotiation strategies and marketing ideas from 32 years in real estate, Chris also helped us find an excellent staging company to make sure our home presented in the best possible light. Our questions and concerns were always met with patient and honest responses about the whole process, with the result that we sold in just over a month! Since we had already relocated to Texas, Chris and D.R. even went the extra mile to help get last-minute items out of the house. It would have been great to have them represent me on my purchase in Texas but unfortunately they are only licensed in California. Thank you both, and I won't hesitate to refer you to any of my friends who are thinking of selling or buying!"

"We've known Chris Merritt for 20+ years even though we'd never hired him as an agent until just a few months ago. He is a fixture in West Irvine. He sponsors community events/garage sales and supports the schools. It's only a slight exaggeration to wonder if he could quite possibly know everyone in town. When it was time to sell our home, we didn't even think twice. We called Chris and are so happy we did. He took care of everything. He is a fast talker and knows what he's talking about. "This should be the only review you need to decide that Chris should represent you. My wife and I, recently sold a condo in West Irvine. It was a complicated sale, because the sale needed to be a contingency on us finding another home also in West Irvine. Chris was very detailed about the process of selling and buying another property. He was very knowledgeable about how the contract needed to be written to protect our interests. During the process, he was very responsive to all of our questions, helped provide tidbits on how to ensure our home was showing ready, and many times, had to guide the seller's agent on the home we were buying. He also orchestrated a leaseback agreement, which was a requirement for the home we were buying, and coordinated a leaseback for the family buying our home. He worked well with our buyer's agent and the agent who sold us our new home. He has a commanding knowledge of West Irvine and surrounding areas. This was an amazingly stressful time for our family, trying to sell our condo and actually get a winning bid for a home in Irvine. His friendly personality very well can help you to get your bid accepted. I know there are certain areas where you may be selling or purchasing a home and they have popular names posted everywhere. Don't make a mistake! Chris was the agent who sold our condo, as well as, represented us to purchase our new home. I truly believe Chris can represent you better than any other agents in the area."
